At Choco Crafts, we understand that proper storage is essential for maintaining the quality of our chocolate products. Excessive heat or cold can have a negative impact on chocolates, causing a greyish coating on the surface known as “bloom.” There are two types of bloom: fat bloom caused by fat migration and sugar bloom caused by humidity. To prevent bloom, our chocolates should be stored in ideal conditions of around 57° to 68°F and relative humidity not exceeding 65%. While we take every care to handle our products properly, once they leave our care, we have little control over the storage conditions. We recommend our customers to store their chocolates appropriately to maintain the quality and taste of their products.

For best storage of chocolate, it is recommended to store it at an optimum temperature range of 57-61°F. It is not advisable to store chocolate in the fridge as it is a high-humidity environment, which can cause sugar bloom due to the excess moisture. If refrigeration is necessary, it is recommended to place the chocolate in an airtight container or double wrap it in plastic and store it in the bottom section of the fridge. Before consuming, it is recommended to bring the chocolate to room temperature slowly by leaving it at room temperature for several hours.

When purchasing our chocolate products, please check the “Best Before” date printed on the packaging. This date serves as a quality indicator and ensures that the product maintains its quality until the end of its shelf life when stored under the appropriate conditions. The “Best Before” dating is a consumer-friendly way of indicating the freshness of the item, so please make sure to consume the product before this date for the best experience.
